Tournament system

  • Players are drafted into teams; 4 players on each team
  • Standins: Standins + all players are standins
  • 16 teams: 4 teams each group
    • A round-robin group stage
    • A playoff.
  • Top 2 teams each group to playoff A
  • Bottom 2 teams each group to playoff B
  • Both playoffs are quarterfinals, placement games, semifinals, bronzegame and finals
  • Each team gets 6 games: 3 groupgames Go3, 3 playoffgames Bo5
  • Group stage matches are Go3 (game of three, not best of three)
  • Playoff matches are Bo5
  • Timeline: Tournament will take 5-6 weeks - Start: 26th of February 2024

Standins

Every player in the tour can also be standins, along with the regular standins. A standin is selected by the team who needs one. The standin must be approved by the other team; if accepted no need for admin intervention. If the teams cant not agree on the standin, the admins need to make a decision. That decision is final.
The standins will be ranked in 4 levels:

  • Captains
  • 1st picks
  • 2nd picks
  • 3rd picks

The players in the tour are already ranked and the regular standins will be placed in each level. Teams can then select from this player pool according to the player they need a standin for.

Prize Pool 800 EUR

  • Winning team: 420 EUR - 105 EUR to each player
  • Runner Up: 240 EUR- 60 EUR to each player
  • Third place: 140 EUR - 35 EUR to each player
  • Prize money will be payed via PayPal to each player
  • Standins will get their cut:
    • 2 maps played in a game is equal to a whole game played
    • 1 map played in a game is equal to half a game played

Group standings

The ranking is determined by taking the following stats into account (in order):

  • Match wins
  • Map difference
  • Internal fight
  • Map difference in those internal fights
  • Frag difference in those internal fights
  • Total frag difference of all games

Map Pool

Go3

  • The procedure is "pick-pick-toss-toss-play".
  • The team that wins "/cmd rnd team1 team2" pick first.
  • The other team toss first.
  • Each match will be three maps.

Bo5

  • The procedure is "pick-pick-pick-pick-play".
  • The team that wins "/cmd rnd team1 team2" picks first.
  • If a team is down 0-2 they pick 3rd map.
  • The first team to win 3 maps wins.
  • No map repeats, a map can only be played once .

Scheduling

  • All matches have a deadline (consult the division page for the dates).
  • Teams should schedule matches on the Discord server and tag the admins when a time and date has been found.
  • If a team is not making any efforts to schedule a match it will be taken into consideration when a WO has to be assigned.

Ping

  • The primary driver for server selection is to find a server where the teams have similar average pings (+/- 2ms) and to minimize that average.
  • The pings should be the most even for the two teams and measures like cl_delay_packet or proxy rerouting to balance pings should be employed. A team with a higher average ping than their opponent on a given server may request the opponent to do this (or change server to somewhere with lower average ping).
  • Matches must be played on EU servers.
  • The highest minping that can be required is 39ms. This may occasionally mean matches played with uneven pings where one team has high pinging players, e.g. NA players on EU server.
  • This process applies for every map played. Where lineup changes are made between maps it may become necessary to switch servers or adjust pings at the request of either team to rebalance pings.
  • Servers that are providing significant packetloss that cannot be avoided by proxy rerouting should generally be avoided unless both teams agree to play there.
  • If players still can't agree on a server, please contact admins about it. Admin decision is final and refusal to play on a server designated by neutral admins will be considered a WalkOver loss.

Final Words

The admins will intervene on anyone who does not take care of them selves, or others, in a respectful matter. It is the admins privilege to decide what is respectful or not. Admins can (and will) kick out players, don't pay out prize money or make other decisions if admins feel that is necessary. Admins can also at any time change any rules as they see fit, to make the tour better. They will however do so in a fair fashion.
